ABOUT
Boyz II Men Athletes is a 5-week holistic summer school enrichment mentoring program designed for youth between the ages of 10-18. Starts Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 3:00pm Wednesday July 5th - August 4th for $127 per week per child (processing fees will incur if you pay online) @ New Vision United Methodist Church 4400 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
Our Music Media program will occur on Fridays 10:00am - 2:00pm @ 6819 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH 45216.
The program is a partnership between First Generation Leaders of America, Trinity Safe Haven, Positive Motivated Messengers Empowerment Group, Arms Around Media and Basketball Hustle TV that aims to provide young people with valuable resources and opportunities to support their personal and professional development.
We are only accepting 12 students.
The program offers a comprehensive approach, focusing on Leadership Development, Career Readiness, Entrepreneurship, Music, Media, Drama, Financial Literacy, and Athletics. By offering a range of programs, Boyz II Men Athletes seeks to empower young people to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in all aspects of life.
Participants in the program will have access to workshops and mentorship opportunities, where they will learn valuable skills and receive guidance and support from experienced professionals. The program's emphasis on entrepreneurship and financial literacy is especially important, as it seeks to provide young people with the tools they need to succeed in the modern economy.
Overall, Boyz II Men Athletes is an innovative and impactful program that has the potential to positively impact the lives of young people from under-resourced communities. By providing mentorship, education, and support in a range of areas, this program can help to empower the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.

If your child is 9 years old, we will make exceptions, but we will have to interview them to see if they're a good fit for our program.Until further notice, masks (PPE) are required to be always worn by all youth and staff while indoors.

IMPACT 2021-22
Over the summer in June 2021 we launched a holistic summer camp mentoring program here are the results:

- Student survey data was collected on 9 participants.
- Serviced individuals ages 10-17
- 100% of participants reported that they learned new information as a result of camp participation.
- 100% of participants reported that they experienced growth as a result of their participation in the program.
- No cases of COVID-19 were reported in the program during the 8 weeks of our summer camp.

Policies and Procedures
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people. FGLA x BHTV x Sports Plus has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, FGLA cannot guarantee that you or your children will not become infected with COVID-19. No cases of COVID-19 were reported in the program during the 8 weeks of our summer camp in 2022.
Membership Acknowledgement: Please take the time to read this fully and thoroughly before beginning your application or calling the FGLA.Join FGLA for a fun and impactful summer camp. The summer camp registration opens on May 31st 2023. Until further notice, masks (PPE) are required to be always worn by ALL youth and staff while indoors.
Programming: Your child will enjoy the encouragement and guidance from a consistent staff that leads the youth in structured opportunities throughout the engaging in activities like academic enrichment, reading activities, plenty of recreation,& physical play.
Ages Served: Members must be 10-18. We will make exceptions for 9-year-olds, but they must be interviewed.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am – 3:00 p.m.
Timely Payment of Fees: Weekly payments are due on Friday before 3:00pm.
Mandatory Parent/Member Orientation: Every youth and parent/guardian must attend a mandatory orientation before their child attends the athletic scholars summer camp program.
Meals: Every day your child will receive a hearty snack plus lunch on us.
Transportation: Parents must provide transportation for their child(ren). All members must be picked up by a parent at Sports Plus before closing at 3:00 pm. Failure to pick up your child before closing will be grounds for terminating your membership.
Waiting List: In the event of reaching membership capacity, FGLA will begin a waiting list for membership. The waiting list is a first come first serve sequence. In the event, you are at the top of the waiting list, and a spot becomes available, you will be notified of the availability and have 48 hours to register and pay any fees before your slot will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
Late Fee: If you don't make a payment on time we are subjected to charge a $50 late fee.
