Mission.
The BoyZ II Men is after school Mentoring Program is dedicated to empowering elementary and high school students from low-income backgrounds, nurturing their aspirations for higher education, and equipping them with essential life skills for a successful future.

In collaboration with Boys Hope Girls Hope, we amplify our impact by offering additional resources and support to help these young men thrive in life. Together, we provide a comprehensive approach that includes social-emotional learning, financial awareness, and the development of social and emotional intelligence.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Our mentoring program operates once a week for one hour, providing a safe and supportive space for young men to explore personal growth and development. Through a structured curriculum and positive mentorship, we guide them through a range of topics designed to enhance their social and emotional intelligence, build character, and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities life presents.

- Day: Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
- Location: 4400 Reading road Cincinnati,Ohio 45229
- Duration: Twice a week for two hours
SESSION TOPICS
1. Discovering My Journey- Encouraging self-exploration and goal setting.
2. Circles of Influence & Peer Pressure Teaching how to make positive choices amidst peer influences.
3. Setting Expectations, Core Values, and Boundaries - Instilling values and boundaries for personal growth.
4. Defining Manhood - Exploring modern concepts of masculinity.
5. The Man Box - Challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusivity.
6. Cry Like A Man - Encouraging healthy emotional expression.
7. Emotional Incarceration - Addressing the consequences of emotional suppression.
8. Expressing My Emotions- Equipping participants with tools to communicate feelings effectively.
9. What Do I Do When I'm Angry? - Teaching anger management and conflict resolution.
10.How to Deal with Conflict - Fostering constructive conflict resolution skills.
11. Team Building Exercises - Promoting teamwork and cooperation.
12. I Messages- Enhancing communication through "I" statements.
13. Elevator Pitch (Public Speaking) - Building public speaking skills for self-presentation.

DATA 2021-22
- Survey data was collected on 9 participants.
- Serviced individuals ages 10-16
- 9 of 9 participants reported that they learned new information as a result of participation.
- 9 of 9 participants reported that they experienced growth as a result of their participation in the program.
